Egg Moves Without Breeding

Teach your Pokémon egg moves... no eggs required!

Egg moves are 'secret' moves that can be passed down to egg-hatched Pokémon from their parents through breeding. Pokémon usually can't obtain these exclusive moves in any other way (such as by leveling up or using TMs). For example, Belly Drum is one of Charmander's egg moves. You can only get a Charmander with Belly Drum by specifically breeding a baby Charmander to know Belly Drum. Charmander that didn't hatch with the move Belly Drum will never be able to learn it at all. So if you want to raise a Belly Drum Charizard, forget about that basic starter Charmander you picked up in the lab - you'll need a custom-bred replacement. ...At least, you used to!
