Transfer Your National Pokédex from Pokémon Bank to Home:
A Complete Guide
Did you know that you can transfer your National Pokédex entries from Pokémon Bank to Home? Any Pokémon species and forms you have registered in your Bank account's National Pokédex can be automatically registered in your Home account's National Pokédex too - even if you don't have those Pokémon themselves stored in Bank or Home anymore. Here's how to do it.
If you DO NOT have a working 3DS with Pokémon Bank installed, start at step 4!
- Update your in-game Pokédex. Ensure that the desired species and forms have been registered in your game(s) of Pokemon X/Y, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Sun/Moon, and/or Ultra Sun/Moon.
Some Pokédex entries are automatically unlocked in the Pokédex as soon as you own the relevant species. Other entries require you to use a form in battle at least once. To ensure everything will sync up properly, you should use any Pokémon form you want to register in a battle; any quick wild encounter will do. Remember to save afterwards! - Sync your in-game Pokédex to your Bank account. Bank's Pokédex updates itself based on Pokémon you have owned and used in a main game - NOT what you actually deposit into Bank itself. Simply log in to Bank and deposit literally any Pokémon. Save and exit.
- Look at your Bank Pokédex. Log in to Bank again. Open the Pokédex menu and check through it. Make sure that you've registered everything you wanted!
Next, open the Adventure Records menu and look at your save game records. Then save and exit again.
For some reason, viewing both the Pokédex AND the Adventure Records will ensure that all your Bank Pokédex entries sync correctly to Home. If you skip this, you may notice random Pokédex entries are missing from Home! - Sync your Bank Pokédex to your Home account. Log in to Home using either your Switch or phone app. Transfer any Pokémon from Bank to Home. Your Pokédexes will sync during the transfer. (Note that only Home accounts with a premium subscription are allowed to transfer.)
- You're done! Check out your Home National Pokédex after the transfer is finished. Any entries you had unlocked in Bank should now be unlocked in Home too.
